HELLO THIS IS WATANABE (KTCH) PLEASE VOTE FOR ME (SKREEE) THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, THANK YOU. WATANABE. THANK YOU. PLEASE THINK OF ME. HELLO THIS IS WATANABE OISKKCGM<> GOINNOIDGM DSKELK LKD EOHTCK (the sound of a second truck coming up on the first and both trucks trying to out yell the other)
Have you ever been so annoyed you threw a pair of pants at
your wall? I hadn’t either… until this campaigning season. There are apparently
3 people (possibly more) running for office, two women and a man. For the past
week and a half they have been driving around town blasting their bullhorns,
and telling everyone to come vote for them. They start at 8 in the morning, and
go till 9 at night.
They are so loud, for a country of people who are generally
so mindful of community peace, I am very surprised this is their method of
campaigning. I don’t see anyone interacting with the trucks, aside from
children holding their hands over their ears, and adults staring as they let
the DEMON HELL BEASTS, I mean trucks, go by.
The campaigners are clearly amused by themselves, especially
when two trucks find each other in town. At one point yesterday, the man and
one of the women passed each other in town near our house, they both just
started yelling their own names as loud as they could, it was so loud our whole
house rattled.
Keep an eye on the news, if you hear about some crazy person
steeling megaphones, and putting them on posts around her house like trophy
heads, it wasn’t me…
Just to make myself feel better, I looked up other foreigners driven mad by Japanese megaphones:
Hi Katie, The link didn't work for me. I do so want to hear the campaigning megaphones. We have nothing like that here.
ReplyDeleteThe link should be fixed now. Thanks for letting me know.
